Lanesboro

Hi all of you. I haven't written for a looong time - but all of you are pretty slow about posting too, so I can't feel too bad!

My mind is beginning to think of Lanesboro - what to bring, etc. So --- let me remind you that you have to bring your own towels/washcloths for the bathroom. They supply bedding, but not towels.

If you want information, just go on-line and check out Cedar Valley Resort, Whalen, MN (or Lanesboro --- it will come up there too.) We'll be in the Northwoods Cabin - we have one side, plus the big center room.

Stan and your dad will be making breakfast both days, so if you're driving down Saturday AM, try to get there in time to eat:>) I heard the weather will be nice - if so, we'll have a hot dog roast on Saturday night - with s'mores, I hope! Bring anything you think would be fun to do, inside or outside. (Peter and Megan are bringing a few things I think...)

Any questions, give me a call!

Matt - I checked out your church blog ---great sketch of you apparently being the life of the party!

Have a great day, all of you!

4/16/07

Hi everyone!
The first picture was taken a week ago. What a difference a week makes! The highlight of our day was the ice cream truck. It makes it feel like summer. Have you every thought of doing that,Dad? You would make a lot of kids very happy! And make a killing. He charges $2 for a ice cream sandwich. I'm sure that is what the whole box costs. It well worth it to see the kids faces when they here the music. I think they were standing in front of our house at the curb for 15 mins before he got here.
Matt- I think I will be able to get time off this summer. What does your schedule look like for vacation?
Abby

Easter, too

I just have to add my two cents worth about Easter...It was great! Peter and Megan, we missed you, but I'm so glad you had a nice Easter Sunday too, and got to be with family.

Highlights:
The two Marys bringing perfume and hot tamales to the tomb
Your dad with his back against the wall in church during the Easter service
Nibbles...and Sarah's version
Anna and Thomas - both so so nice looking on Easter morning
A few games of Scrabble...and the fact that Sarah could play it with us!
Easter baskets - jelly beans - peeps!
the Saturday night flick, and everyone's interpretation of it (except A and J, who went to bed instead of sharing deep thoughts!)
So many things to make me smile (in addition to the wonder of the occasion - Easter - and my grateful heart).
Being together for Easter --- priceless!
Matt, thanks for sharing some pictures :>)

Now we're looking forward to Lanesboro...and hope the weather will be great by then. (Enough of this snow and wind!)

All of you, have a good week! Love, Mom

It's been a while...

Blog,
It seems like it has been a while since the last time we posted anything, and yet I feel that there is really nothing new to report. Next week we have our second appointment, but nothing exciting is going to be done. The thrid appt, which will be around the beginning of May, is when the ultrasound is to be completed. Megan has still had off and on nausea, but overall is feeling better then a few weeks ago. I have decided to step down at Target, actually i decided this about 5 months ago. I finally heard what was to become of me. I am moving to a different store (slower one!!) and am going to be a staff pharmacist. The manager over at that store is coming to my store to manage it. This will be about the same pay for a lot less headaches. Maybe sometime in the future I will decide to go back up, but it doesn't pay for all the extra work you have to do. I am counting down the days. That's about it. Anything exciting happens we'll make sure that you are the first to know Mr. Blog. Thanks
Peter and Megan

tax

dear blog,

i just got done with my taxes... what a relief! i really do not like doing them. this year, i used taxact.com. it was okay, but i had to pay some money to get my state taxes filed (federal was free). tonight i am going to the twin's baseball home opener. i am really excited for that. well, i need to go for a run. maybe i will write to you tonight and let you know a little bit more about my life. in a mean time, enjoy this little picture. love, matt

ps. congratulations to a certain someone who has entered the rough and tumble workforce again... you baby-boomers need to keep on working as long as possible.

This-n-THAT

This...hi, you all. A rainy and cold Sunday, but the grass is turning green, so I know spring is coming! I'm hoping next weekend, Easter, will be a little sunnier. (Fortunately, the celebration doesn't depend on weather!)
By now you all have the good news about the two recent baby additions...so I thought I'd send you addresses in case you'd like to send a card:
Katie and Casey Hartmann (Joshua): 336 Sunset Avenue, Aurora, IL 60506
Matt and Andrea (Leah): 591 Highway 110 St. Paul, MN 55118
Just FYI also - Kojoe's birthday is on Thursday, in case you'd like to send him a card: Kojoe Otto - 8100 36th Avenue North #305 New Hope, MN 55427

-n-

THAT...Here's the biggg news from Slayton: Your dad has accepted a part time job working for SW Mental Health Center, which is based in Worthington. He'll work in, I think, five counties, but will be primarily in Worthington (and maybe some in Pipestone). He'll be the coordinator for housing for the mentally ill - he's always liked working with mentally ill people, and he's looking forward to the challenge of this new job. He'll be working 20-25 hours a week, which is as much as he wants. So - it will be interesting to see what this will hold for him. He can tell you any more you want to know...but thought I'd put in this much since he doesn't ordinarily write in the blog (although he reads it).

So---that's it from here. All of you, have a great week. Love you, Mom

PS - Thomas: Has Congress passed any new laws lately about conserving water --- heard anything about that? Just wonderin' ....from your jokin' Grandma!
